SOME NOTES ON workin' for work THAT WORKS

I'm a strategically disciplined, creative-fluent brand leader. Always seeking stickiness rooted in truth.

My sweet spot is unifying creative and brand partners around a common, inspiring mission to solve challenges—whatever they may be.

A few notes on how I work for work that works:

Digital isn’t just a “channel.” It’s a constant, everyday layer of our lives.

I know when to step back and think big, and when to dive headfirst into the brass tacks (I do not suggest literally diving into brass or tacks).

I lead teams in growing, reviving,  and reimagining brands, telling their most compelling stories.

The greatest brands are built from the inside out. But outside perspective is often needed to distill and articulate the most relevant truths that the entire organization should rally around.

Every organization needs a compelling WHY at their core. Fortune 100s and a garage startup of 1, alike.

Actions can work harder than “advertising.” Ideas worth advertising, not so much advertising ideas.

Ask the more beautiful question. The right, sometimes tough, question can inspire fresh thinking, opening doors we never expected.

Don’t silo strategy from execution. Great ideas can come from anywhere, but they're worthless without execution to match.

If you fill your head, you can trust your gut. Experience + intuition allows me to see around corners.

Expressing gratitude can set the tone for a great meeting, a great day, and a great relationship. (h/t Barkley)

In the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure, parents should put their air mask on first. But in the event of potlucks, leaders eat last. Recognize the difference.

I lead by example, proving I’m willing to put in the work required for work that works.

Integrity, always. Even when inconvenient.

And in order to make work that works, I refuel with passions outside of work. I’m a 4-season outdoor adventure nut and recovering singer-songwriter. A perpetual pizza crust, breakfast burrito, and banh mi hunter. And a dad with a campervan problem. One day I may write a how-to guide on methodically brainwashing your kids into heeding the call of the mountains.
